Our Friday Fun-day

Last week the girls over heard Adam Talking to grandpa Bob about getting Friday off work. Well lets just say, by the time we got home to Genola, the girls had the WHOLE "Friday Fun-day" planned out, yes even named, complete with a check list. This is just one of the two they had made, the second one was a back up list, just in case, which included going to the movies, a ride up Payson canyon etc. Well it turned out to be a very great day. We started with breakfast, which daddy generously prepared french toast. Then we headed out, we went and bought our swimming passes, and then headed up the canyon for a nice little drive, as you can see, there are no pictures, driving up a curvy canyon was making my already sick self even more sick. But the girls loved it, Whitney loves being in the mountains, wonder where she gets that from? :).

We finally got to the water park, and one of the first things the girls wanted to do, was go down the BIG slides, which made mom a little nervous. Here are the first ride down, guess who had the funnest time?

Yup, Whitney, if you look closely you will see the little smile on her face!
The first one they attempted was the curly slide, and then completely unknown to me, they all decided to go down the "drop-off". Which I wouldn't have let Audrey go if I had known, they all made it down safely, but Audrey wouldn't go down anymore after that, except the slides in the kiddie pool.

We couldn't get Whitney off the slides ALL day, she wore her daddy out, so after we had the stranger danger talk with her, she headed out on her own, she said later that she went down the slides around 40 times, (?) :)
Audrey on the other hand, LOVED the lazy river, and didn't want to leave, and mommy couldn't do going around and around (I was still recovering from the joy ride up the canyon) Daddy got the honors of following her around, by the end of the day, the bottom of his feet was worn off, and peeling, and she still didn't want to stop.
After we pulled them away from the pool, they decided they wanted to go to Mexico. Luckily for us, that is what they call the Mexican restaurant we go to (I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to make that drive)
When we got home, they had their "free" time to play outside, while daddy did chores, and you think they would have had enough water for one day, well, not even close, the neighbor girls came over, and played in the sprinklers until almost DARK!

Cuties!
After we came in, they got ready for bed. Their plan was to sleep in the tents out back, (except for prego mommas, they got permission to sleep in their own bed :) ) BUT because of the storm clouds moving in, they sent up camp in the living room, much to Adams relief.
A perfect ending to the perfect Friday Fun-day!

Whitney's Year in Baseball

This year was such a fun baseball season with Whitney. She is growing into such a little ballplayer, she made her momma proud. She hit EVERY time she got up, and got a few doubles and even a triple! Way to go curly, we love you!

Genola Days 2009

One of the best times of our summer is Genola Days, we look forward to it all year. This year was really exciting because Whitney's ball team was in the parade. It was such a neat day for her!

Audrey and Mawna headed to the parade!
Audrey's bag of candy, since she didn't have Whitney to help her, Mawna and Grandpa helped her gather ALOT of candy!

After all the festivities of the morning, we came back and tried to cool off before heading out to the Genola Rodeo

If you look hard, in the left hand corner you can pick out Adam and Audrey, waiting for the candy run to start. Audrey did awesome, she came back with two handfuls of candy, more than enough to last her and Whitney through the rodeo, although we did have to get a snow cone too!
Audrey is in the center right, in the white shirt.
These next three pictures are of Whitney in the animal chase, you have to look pretty hard to see her, Adam took the pictures and he isn't as great as me. She is wearing a pink shirt and multi colored shorts, in this pic she is in the left side, she was pretty mad, she caught a little kitten, but some one pulled it from her hands, :), but don't worry, we currently adopted two little kittens a few weeks ago.
She is right in the middle in this pic. You can see her back

Watching the rodeo, waiting for the fireworks to start, which were SO great this year. I didn't get any Pict's of the actual rodeo this year, or of the fireworks, I had gotten up at six-thirty that morning and with going and going all day, this prego mama was pretty sick by the time the rodeo came around. And with Adam losing Audrey during the rodeo, yes, I said lost, I was tuckered out. Adam took her to the bathroom, and while trying not to miss our neighbor ride the broncs he didn't notice Audrey when she came out to find some help, and couldn't find him. She came ALL around the arena, BY HERSELF to get her mom. But all was fine, and we don't let dad be in charge of the kids any more at rodeos. :)

Luau!

Last Friday Adrian and her little family were able to go the the Salt Lake Temple, and get sealed together, for time and all eternity. Adam and I were so blessed to be able to go and witness such a special moment in their lives. It was a wonderful day in our family. To celebrate they threw a big Luau that night, and it was awesome! My girls had a great time, even though Whitney was worrying about the rain, and not getting her hair wet the whole time. It was a fantastic day, thanks for letting us be a part of it!

JT And Hayley! A Very Special Day!

On June 12, my little brother got married. Oh, what a beautiful day for our family. It was wonderful, and we are so excited to have Hayley in our family. The Temple wedding was very special and perfect in every way, but if you ask my girls, the best part was the ring ceremony and reception, which they still call the "Best wedding EVER!" But it was a kids paradise, they got to be a part of the ceremony, being flower girls where they got to hold big balls made from bubble gum, and then we all got to go to the "Carnival" after. There was a fishing pond, face painting, a duck race, a candy table, and all the popcorn and cotton candy you could eat. Not to mention the clown on stilts. Who wouldn't love that. It was a wonderful night, some of my favorite moments were when they opened a box after exchanging rings, and a whole bunch of butterflies came out (that was a hit with the girls too!) and when Hayley sang a song for JT and one for her dad, so special. What a great day!

Now on to Eternity!

Audrey's First Year of T-Ball

There are no words to tell you how excited Audrey was for T-ball to start this year. She finally got to play like Whitney does. She thinks her hat and uniform are the greatest things in the world. She is such a good player too, she actually hits better when Adam Pitches to her, than when hitting off a tee. Way to go shorty. There are some things we need to work on though, like picture #3, she gets distracted VERY easily, and dad has to help her refocus, I think its so, so cute!

Playing third base, (not very well, but at least she is enjoying herself)

Our Little Grad of 2009

A few weeks ago Audrey Graduated from Pre school, and I have been so behind on blogging that I am just getting to it, I keep hoping that I will start feeling better. Any hoo, it was a circus themed graduation, and our little Audrey was a tight-rope walking elephant, and she did so good! Not to mention adorable. Grandma and Grandpa Peterson came and Grampa Kaze, and that night while Adam was tucking her in, she said it was the greatest day in her life, because everyone was there! :), So thank all you "Grands" that came and helped make it a very special day!

The First New Moon Trailer!!!!!!!

Holy cow people!!! Last night they released the first "New Moon" trailer, and it is SOOOOO awesome! Here is the link to see it yourselves, WATCH IT, and then tell me what you think! I have to admit, I got teary eyed, I know, I know, its only a few seconds of the forest scene, what am I going to do when I watch the whole movie, well, I will probably cry like a baby, but I think its do to all these prego hormones.... :). Most people HATE the second book, myself included, but I am kinda having a change of heart, I am beginning to love it, because once you read through all the books as many times as I have, you begin to realize the importance this book has, all the things that happen in this book NEEDS to happen, even though you cry through most of it, yay New Moon! Your becoming my favorite book of the series! (Never thought that would happen!)

Shhhh, It's a Secret......Almost

A few weeks ago we told the girls a secret, and told them to keep it a secret, and not to tell.... yet. Well it wasn't long until I was getting calls from Audrey's Primary teacher, and our neighbor who happen to drive pre school car pool last week all saying congrats. They also mentioned that Audrey instructed them that it was a secret, and to not tell. Well, since news spreads pretty fast when you have a five year old, we decided to let our family and friends know. This picture was drawn by non other than the squealer herself of her mommy, and I think it sums up our little secret perfectly.

(sorry for not calling you all individually, and sorry if you have already heard. I did have big plans, that included adorable little announcements and personal phone calls, but we know now, don't tell the five year old secrets you want to keep secret. :). )

My Baby's Last Day Of Pre-school, (Sniff, Sniff)

On September 3rd of last year, I was crying because my little girl started pre-school. Well, I haven't came very far because today I feel like crying again, it's Audrey's last day. I cant help thinking about whats coming next, Kindergarten and riding the school bus all by herself, okay not actually ALONE, but still, not with me. I wish I could invent a device that would freeze them in time, so they would always stay my little girls, oh well.
