Revenge Isnt Sweet, It Actually Tastes Like Chicken

On Saturday Adam sent the girls out to do chores. Well for a year or two now, Whitney has been terrified of our Roosters, which are always locked up during the summer, but in the fall Adam lets them out to clean up the garden and eat all the bugs around. So when the roosters are on the loose, Whitney has decided she would rather have to do all the chores herself and assign Audrey the sole responsibility of keeping the roosters away from her while she works. Well, Saturday, Audrey got distracted and one of the roosters got Whitney while her back was turned. Lets just say, she wasn't too happy about it.
Well Sunday morning, when Adam got up, he walked in the kitchen where the girls were having breakfast, Whitney, very nonchalantly asked if we could cook a chicken for dinner. Adam started laughing, and asked which one she had in mind. She walks to the back window looks around, and points to 'her attacker', and says "that one!" Adam agreed, and walked out to get it, and I got to listen to the girls cheer him on from the back window, which included them shouting "Say your prayers chicken!". They were both having a very enjoyable time watching the event unfold. After church we sat down to eat, and Whitney had a smile from ear to ear when I put some chicken on her plate. I told her to enjoy her revenge, and she laughed. I don't think she has enjoyed a meal more in her life. After dinner I heard her say, "One down, two enemies to go!" I think we have a few more chicken dinners on the way! ;)

October, 2009

October was a VERY crazy month for our little family, and was very eventful. Whitney got VERY sick, while the rest of us were sick also, but nothing like Whitney. I had test after test trying to keep me and Baby Brother healthy, and many other little things here and there, we got extremely behind on our updates. So this will be a REALLY long post about the fun things that happened in between. We are starting at the end of the month, and go backwards, hope you can keep up!
Halloween!
This year the girls were so excited, Whitney was orphan Annie, and Audrey was sleeping beauty. Grandma Lorie made their costumes (along with all their girl cousins costumes, thank you Mawna!), which turned out wonderfully, they really couldn't have gotten any better.
All the Girl Cousins and there great costumes!

When Whitney got her hair cut this summer, Aunt Andrea said she should be "Annie" for Halloween, Whitney's response was, "Who is Annie?" She had never even heard of her. So a few weeks later I bought the movie, and Whitney fell in love. She has watched it multiple times, and told Grandma Lorie she needed a Annie costume. She even had Sandy the dog that went everywhere with her. So, so cute!

At our yearly ward carnival this year, Whitney decided she was too old to hang out with Dad, Mom and Little sis, and took off with her friends. It made me sad that she is growing up so fast, and also that I didn't get any pictures of her there, but I did get plenty of Audrey, she kept us very entertained!

Audrey showing her Halloween spirit! Isn't she so cute?
This year we changed things up a bit, and PAINTED our pumpkins instead of carving them, and the girls enjoyed every second of it. They already decided that's what were doing next year too. They painted two faces on each pumpkin, and were very good and turning them often when they were on display on the front porch. They turned out very cute, I thought. The half nudity was a must with the paint, it got EVERYWHERE!

A couple of pictures of the girls enjoying their horse, I think they are adorable.

As you can see in the above pictures, Audrey got a hair cut. She has been begging me to cut her hair since Whitney cut hers, and I finally gave in. But I think it is so stinking cute, I should have done it a long time ago. Although it did cut off ALL that was left of her curls. She just has a few waves now. But it fits her personality to the tee, and she is so, so cute. Audrey loves it too!

Adam and I were able to go on a Field trip with Audrey's Kindergarten class this month, to HeeHaw Farms in Pleasant Grove. I took Adam along, because I'm a little slow these days, and wasn't felling great. It made Audrey's day having him there, not to mention my day, he was able to keep up with the little girls in our group a lot better than I could. What a great day!

Decorating sugar cookies, a big mess, but a lot of fun!

The first of this year, Adam took up a new hobby, Bee Keeping. He got two hives, and tended to them all summer, and the first of October, he got to harvest all his honey. I wondered all summer if he knew what he was doing, and he proved to me he did. He got SO much honey, the picture below is only about a 1/4 of what he got. And it tastes Delicious. Way to go Adam! The girls absolutely loved helping him harvest it, and loves eating it even more!

Daddy Daughter Date

On September 22, the Achievement Day Girls in our ward had their annual Daddy Daughter Date. It was Whitney's first year, and she was so, so excited. She was talking about it for weeks. The week before they made the invitations, which I think hers turned out oh so cute. Some of the activities included, having dinner, playing getting to know you games, the girls got to give their daddy's a "shave" (not with real blades, much to the relief of the dad's), and then the dad's got to do the girl's hair. Whitney's "do" is shown below. They both had a terrific night, I'm sure they wont forget!

It did take some time getting out all the hair accessories!

Pirate Day

Audrey's Kindergarten class had a Pirate Day a few Friday's ago. She was so excited to be able to wear her Pirate costume that Grandma had made her a few years ago. ( I am VERY surprised it still fit, some what) I think she looked absolutely adorable. I got to go help with the party, they had a treasure hunt, made treasure maps, and played Pirate games. It was a great day, says Audrey.

Audrey's 1st Day of Kindergarten- AKA The Day I Have Been Dreading For Over 5 Years

On Wednesday my baby girl started Kindergarten, and some how, I survived the day, though I'm not sure how. She was up at the crack of dawn ready to get in the shower and be off to school. Afternoon Kindergarten made it a VERY long morning. She was very adamant about me not driving her, she was riding the bus! Days before I kept telling her I was going to kidnap her and head for the border, so she couldn't leave me. Her response, "You have to let me go, mom. But I'll miss you too!"
She has been my little side kick for too long, and I'm not ready to give that up. She only went 3 days last week, and one of them I was at school with her, volunteering, and already my cupboards have been cleaned and organized (I thought about putting them in alphabetical order, but thought that was a little overboard) and my storage room down stairs is getting a remake. I am really not sure how I'm going to make it all the way to May. Though, I guess in December I will have another little buddy to hang out with, and a VERY clean house.
Audrey LOVES kindergarten, and riding the bus, and I am very grateful for that, I just wish she was a little, tiny bit hesitant to leave her mommy. Friday night she did write me a story, entitled "Why I love Mommy" It made my day.

Audrey and her "Appealing" Banana

Whitney had to have a water bottle for school this year, and Audrey had to follow suit with her own, she hasn't for got about it yet.
I love this picture, she was SO excited to see the bus coming!
She took off running to get on, I had to pull her back to get a hug and kiss.
On her way home!

I made her "1st day" brownies and ice cream, they BOTH loved that!

On the way home, Whitney found a little lost kitten, and brought it home, I guess its the newest addition to our little farm.

Audrey's Party

Last Sunday afternoon, Audrey decided she was going to throw a party for our family. She made up invitations, decided the V.I.P. guests (there the ones mostly with sun glasses on), made a to-do list and "decorated" all on her own. (with a tiny bit of help from her sister) It was a fabulous party. We played I spy, monkey in the middle, red light-green light, read books and had a snack. Thanks shortie for always keeping us entertained!

3rd Grade, Here We Come!

On Wednesday, Whitney started 3rd grade! It's crazy how fast time goes by! She said it was a fantastic day, she got the teacher she wanted, and had lots of friends in her class. She came home laughing, saying how funny Mr. D is. She picked out her favorite new outfit she got shopping with Maw'na, and she wouldn't even let her mom drive her to school. I almost actually cried. She is already to old for her mom to drive her to school on the first day.

Hey, Stupid!!

Sunday morning, (the only morning me and Adam can sleep in, thanks to 1:00 church) Adam and I got woken up by our five year old opening the play room door and screaming, "Hey, stupid! Drive the space ship!"
:) ????? :)
Well she usually gets disciplined when she talks like that, but we were both laughing to hard to do anything about it. We later found out it she was talking to a monkey. ( I hope an invisible one)
Oh, what a little lady she is, such joy and a lot of laughter she brings us!

Boy or Girl?

This coming Tuesday we will learn the gender of our newest family member! If you want to make a guess as to what it will be, cast your vote!

Daddy's Birthday- AKA Our FOURTH Friday Fun Day

On Adam's Birthday, he wanted to spend the day on the lake, he said that is what he has always done since he was a kid. So we invited the Dymock's to go with us. It was such a great day, the kids had a fantastic time, and I think the older "kids" had even more. Whitney is our little fish, she spent almost the whole time in the water, and when we had to get her in the boat, it was a chore. The birthday boy himself spent some time in the water, too, but since I had to be driving while he wake-boarded, and skied, I didn't get any pictures of him, I think Chrissy did though, so if I get them from her I will post them later. Whitney learned how to knee-board that day too, so she has a new favorite thing to do on the lake now.

Baby Kenderia was so good, the whole time!

After watching Chrissy "fall" off the boat, Whitney was hooked. She would climb out, jump off, and then make the round again, and again.

Kayd was a little nervous, and wouldn't go as fast as Whitney would have liked, she is beginning to be a little dare devil.

The girls insisted that they got to make daddy's cake this year, so we had to put a line down the middle, and they each got a side. That night we took the girls to Grandma Lorie's and we went out to celebrate. It was a great day, Happy 29 Adam!
