Celebrating Our Town

 Genola Days 2011
This year for our town celebrations we headed out to the parade bright and early. Adam worked late Friday, so we didn't go to the movie in the park the night before. We took our usual spot, what a cute bunch, aren't they?

Zack wouldn't look at me in the above picture, but then changed his mind and started giving me "cheese" smiles.

Love this girl

Zack was very intense the whole time, He thought they were all pretty neat.

Love this girly too

Then the loud fire engines came and he definitely DIDN'T like it.

After the parade was done, we let Zack run around a little bit (Adam had to get him out when the engines came) He immediately went to the back of the stroller, where his sisters were putting all their candy, stole a hand full and took off running, then sat down and helped himself to the candy, so cute.

After the parade we walked around a bit to look at some of the Boothe's they had set up, and got a snow cone. Then we went to watch some of the talent show, a family in our ward was putting on a animal show, there business is called Wild Wonders, its really incredible.

Zack was still entertained by the candy

The girls loved the turtle

I thought the hedge hog was cute.

Zack was still entertained by other things.

They had a little train giving rides so Adam took the kiddos on it. Whitney took some pictures, A LOT of pictures.

When we went to leave to get lunch, which has become a tradition, Zack hopped right in and started driving like he does every time we get in, its so cute to watch him.

He started throwing a fit when Adam tried to move him.

So Adam gave in and let him sit in the front, don't worry, we had to run home real quick before we left.

Later that night we headed back for the rodeo, Zack was so excited, he was bounding around everywhere, which was great before it got to crowded.

He munched on an apple for a while too.

Audrey was in the animal race alone this year, she tried really hard to get some chickens, but ended up not getting any.

Whitney's age group was in the money steer (they tape a bunch of money onto a steer, with HORNS, as Whitney said) And she was absolutely NOT going in there, maybe next year.

It was a great night, we all had a really fun time. Zack did better than any of us would have hoped for. He surprised both me and Adam, right towards the end he started to get a little grumpy, so I took him to the truck, and he was great.... until the fire works started. It really didn't help that we parked only like 40 feet away, the noise scared him, Adam and the girls came a little after they started, and Adam took him in the truck with the music on, and me and the girls went and sat on the grass to watch. we had to put our heads all the way back, the fireworks were right above us, it was AWESOME, as the girls said. It really was a great fire works show. We all got home and went right to bed, it was really past our bed time for this little family.

You really captured your cute family celebrating. I can't believe how big Zac is getting. He has the cutest little smile.
