Stocking Pictures

This years stocking pictures went a lot better than last years did. Zack was more than happy to pose for them.
He makes me smile.

My little boy is growing up so fast, I cant believe he is already three. Here are some tidbits of Zack lately.
He is sleeping (well, most nights) in a 'big boy' bed. We got Whitney a new bed in February, and Zack got her old one. He LOVES it during the day, but some nights, he finds his way into our bed. He likes to take over daddies side of the bed when he is at work. But he is getting better at staying. But when we go into his room in the mornings to clean up and get him dressed, I always ask him if he still likes his big boy bed, and he always runs and jumps on it and buries his head in the blanket and says "ya" Love it. Zack really isn't a picky eater, but if he isn't in the mood for something, he just wont eat it. He doesn't really like pizza or waffles, but he will still eat a bite or two when we have them, which we do a lot, because they are his sisters favorites. Zack is starting to talk quite a bit lately, he has a speech delay, but nothing that the doctor is worried about, they said he shows no signs of it being something that we need to worry about. That he will talk eventually. He is not potty trained yet, he has no desire to do it, so I will let it go, for a little while longer that is. Zack loves to watch tv, so much so that we have to have a tv intervention every now and again, and ban it for a couple of days. Some of his favorite shows lately are Bob the Builder, Thomas the Train, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Dinosaur Train, and Bubble Guppies. Zack also LOVES his sisters. If they are home, he is usually close by them, playing, or making them scream. (He loves to tease them also) But for the most part, they all love being with each other, it melts my heart. When Zack was born he was a total mommies boy. But now he is all dads. His daddy is his most favorite person in the world. He loves it when his daddy is home, and never leaves his side when he is. He loves helping daddy 'work' around the house, and gets so excited when Adam gets his tools out. He watches him like a hawk, and then mimics what he does, Its adorable. And it makes him one smart cookie. He knows a few of his colors, just recently his favorite color is orange, and always points out something to me he finds that is orange. Or when we are at the store, and I let him pick out a treat, it is always orange. Before that he loved blue. When we were first learning his colors, every thing was "ue" (blue). He is still learning to count, but will do one, two, 'ee', all on his own. When he feels like it, that is. If he isn't in the mood, Zack is wonderful at ignoring you, or saying the wrong answer just to be funny and get tickled.
He is still in love with anything that has wheels, or moves in dirt. And really loves the wooden train set he got for Christmas. Winter is hard for him, He has really missed being able to be out in the dirt playing. Hopefully spring will be here soon and he can go outside and be free. He has really started loving his dog, Zoe lately. Always putting her out in the mornings, and bringing her back inside a little while later, and gets really worried if she isn't right by the door waiting for him. He will stand with the door open yelling for her, until she comes, even if it is 20 degrees out, and I am yelling at him to shut the door. He loves to play fetch with her, and to rub her tummy, and sometimes gets a little ruff with her, but always rubs her better when he does. They put us in nursery right before he was supposed to go to Sunbeams, so he refuses to go. He just wants to stay and 'play' with mom and dad.
I asked Whitney what I needed to include in this description about Zack, and she said, "He is nuts!" while laughing. And that just about sums him up. He is usually always happy, and happy to see you, and will always do something to put a smile on your face. :)
Zack loves to help me around the house, whether its cleaning or cooking. I love having him with me all the time, he is my little buddy, and always makes me laugh. He will take his turn saying family prayers every once in a while, but he only mouths the words, he wont say them out loud. That is also how he sings, it makes us laugh, but he has done it almost his whole life, and I have no idea why. He has quite the imagination, I always find him off 'playing'. Acting out things, I just wish I could know what was going through his head. He is a favorite at our house, that is for sure. Some one is always saying, "What did we ever do before Zack was born." Adam is always asking me how can you love a little boy so much. I really cant even imagine my life with out him. He has all of us, especially his daddy, wrapped tight around his finger. He is spoiled, but he is also so so very sweet, and gives the best little loves anyone could ask for. When he is very sleepy, he wants to snuggle close, and hold your hand while he falls asleep. I love and cherish it every time. We all thank Heaven every day for him.
