Adam Turned 31

This year Adam's birthday landed on a Sunday. Whitney was really dissapointed, because she wanted to plan a really fun day to go out and do stuff. But it only took her a minute or two until she decided she wanted to throw Adam a surprise party instead. She inlisted Grandma Lorie to help her with some of her plans.
She planned that we would go to church as a family, just like normal, and after sacrament meeting, her Audrey and me and Zack would sneak home and decorate the house and get everything ready to surprise him when we got home. She had instructed Grandma and Grandpa Peterson to already be here before church got out, to join in on the surprise. When we got home Adam was a little suspicious, but he came walking in the door, and Whitney, Audrey, Zack and Grandpa and Grandma Peterson came down the hall shouting "Surprise!!" It was great to see the smile on Adam's and Whitney's face, it was so cute. We had a steak dinner and then cake. Audrey made his cake for him, she did such a wonderful job. Whitney did an incredible job with the whole party. I didn't know if she would be able to keep it a secret for so long but she did, she amazes me.

We didn't have 31 candles, so we took the ones we had and shaped them into a 31, it was cute, until we lighted all of them and they made a pretty big flame. We must be getting old. Zack thought it was really neat, he helped Adam blow out the candles.
How adorable is this picture, it brings a smile to my face

For one of our crafts this summer I started to teach the girls to do embroidery. They both picked it right up and were just incredible with it. I couldn't believe how good they got. They each made Adam one for his birthday.
Whitney's was a chick, so cute right?

And Audrey's was a duck, just adorable.

It was such a fantastic day, thanks in large part to Whitney. She never ceases to amaze me. Happy Birthday Adam, we all love you. And thanks to 'Mawn'a' for all the help she gave Whitney.
