Easter Morning

This is the very first year Adam hasn't been here for Easter morning. He got up to go to work at four thirty, and at that time of day, me and the kiddos are pretty gone from the world... except for this morning. I guess with all the craziness from the baptism the day before, the Easter Bunny forgot to come, and when Adam's alarm went off that morning, she sat straight up in bed and realized she needed to get her little cotton tail busy. So at almost five in the morning the Easter Bunny finally made an appearance, thank goodness (some one should really fire her and get a replacement). Not only did she forget, but she hadn't gotten anything ready, not even filling the Easter eggs with candy. She was a very busy bunny that morning, and all her husband could do was laugh at her and wish her luck as he walked out the door.
Whitney woke up first, and got straight in the shower, when she got out we woke up Zack and got him ready for church, (which is at nine o'clock, it makes for a rushed Easter morning) and then we took off to the family room to see what the Easter bunny brought.
Zack got a big cowboy coloring book, and a stuffed horse along with a new hand rake and shovel to help in the garden.

The girls got a new jacket, a new DS game, and a puzzle, and a plane, along with all other treats.

The Easter bunny left a egg hunt for the kiddo's. With Zack being older this year, he was able to understand things, and it was so fun to watch him "hunt".
The eggs were color coordinated, Zack's eggs were green and blue

Whitney's were yellow and orange, and Audrey's were pink and purple.

Zack found two eggs, and went straight to cracking them open and eating the candy. (which he did consistently the rest of the day, I don't even want to try to think about all the candy he ate that day).

He ate, while his sisters tried finding the rest of their eggs, their eggs were hidden a lot harder than his were.

Whitney in her new dress, so cute.

Still playing with his eggs and eating his candy. Didn't much care for the rest of his toys.

They finally found the last couple of eggs.

Zack finally found his horse, and gave him a few loves.

How cute is this picture. (yup, Zack's mouth is full of some kind of treat, but I love the face he is pulling.)

He put his new shovel and rake right to work moving his eggs around.

We played for a while, until we had to finish getting ready for church, and the girls called daddy to wish him a happy Easter. After church we headed down to grandpa Kaze's. More on that coming soon...
